WebJan 15, 2008 · Integrated pollution prevention and control, abbreviated as IPPC, refers to the minimising of pollution from various industrial sources throughout the European Union (EU), as established by the so-called IPPC Directive ( Directive 2008/1/EC of 15 January 2008 concerning integrated pollution prevention and control). WebThese Regulations are made under section 2 of the Pollution Prevention and Control Act 1999. They set out a pollution control regime for the purpose of implementing the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Directive (Council Directive 96/61/EC) and for regulating other environmentally polluting activities not covered by the Directive.
